Sturgeon Adult Learning Council Mission
It is the mission of the Sturgeon Adult Learning Council, through networking and meetings, to assess needs and to facilitate the efforts of its member agencies, which provide resources, information and education for adults within the Sturgeon Community. The Adult Learning Council is not intended to assume the operation of any of its member agencies, but to function as a coordinating body for non-credit Adult Learning Programming on an interagency basis.
What Do We Do?
- We promote life long learning as a vital part of personal growth;
- We support non-profit service providers who provide adult learning opportunities in the areas of basic literacy, English/French as a Second Language, community issues or employablitity enhancment through funding and promotion of their programs;
- We help to address barriers of low income learners to non-credited adult learning opportunities.
